    Ahiva Map Guide to Fulhadhoo
    About the island

Fulhadhoo is a small local island in Baa Atoll, home to a few hundred people and no cars — only sandy lanes, palms and the sound of the ocean.

    More details

Its western tip stretches into a long white sandbank known as Bikini Beach, where baby reef sharks and rays come close to the shore. The island is ringed by a living coral reef, so snorkelling starts a few steps from the sand.

The village keeps its everyday Maldivian rhythm: the call to prayer from the mosque, fishermen returning at dusk, children on the football field. Guests are welcome to walk through it at any time.

Please wear swimwear only on Bikini Beach, and cover shoulders and knees when walking through the village — this is a local island and the community appreciates it.

    Important information

Four mini markets, a sports ground and a first aid post are all a few minutes' walk from the hotel.

On the eastern side of the island there is a swing right in the ocean — a favourite spot for beautiful photos. 📸

Most shops on the island work to this schedule: 08:30–12:00, 13:00–15:15, 16:00–18:00, 20:30–22:30. The breaks are the prayer times (namaz), when shops across the island close.

    💬 Ask office manager
    If you feel unwell

The hotel cannot give out any medicines. All medical care on the island goes through the health post, where a doctor can examine you and prescribe treatment. Message the office manager at any hour and we will arrange the visit and take you there.
